The purpose is to familiarize participants with international and national standards for countering corruption, including best practices for their implementation, discuss global trends and challenges in implementing anti-corruption programs, and explore ways to improve the collaboration between government agencies and civil society organizations in this area.

The holding of this Forum is also due to Uzbekistan’s obligations under Article 60 of the UN Convention against Corruption, which states that States Parties should consider using subregional, regional and international conferences and seminars to promote cooperation and technical assistance and encourage the discussion of issues of mutual interest, including the specific challenges and needs of developing countries and countries with economies in transition.
